Tottenham Hotspur will scout Radu Dragusin during Friday night’s Serie A clash between Genoa and Juventus, according to the Premier League-linked defender’s agent.
Another day, another interview conducted by Florin Manea on the Romania international’s behalf.
Spurs, he says, will be in the stands tonight as Radu Dragusin’s Genoa host his former employers Juventus at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.
Tottenham Hotspur will watch Radu Dragusin vs Juventus
“I don’t know if I can say that the transfer is imminent, but there is a lot of interest. I had a discussion with Tottenham. They told me they were interested in him,” Manea tells Digi Sport.
“They will also be at the game tonight.
“There are a few more clubs from Germany, a few from the Premier League. From my point of view, (agreeing a deal) is far (away). There are many other factors that need to be addressed.
“I believe that if something is achieved, it will be in the Premier League.”
Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou admitted, ahead of the trip to Nottingham Forest, that a centre-half is one of his top priorities in the winter window (The Guardian). Ben Davies and Emerson Royal have been forced into ill-fitting central roles of late due to Micky van de Ven’s injury and Cristian Romero’s suspension.
Manea insists that Genoa will continue to demand £30 million for Dragusin. A hefty sum, yes, but a bargain when you compare it to the Man City paid for Croatian colossus Josko Gvardiol, for instance.
Spurs also eye Crystal Palace and Everton men
“The right price, I have always said, is around 25 to 30 million. I think it’s a fair price,” the agent adds. “He is worth more than this price but, unfortunately, he is Romanian. Maybe if he was Croatian, he was worth 80 million.”
Manea claims that Tottenham are also looking at defenders currently plying their trade at Everton and Crystal Palace, with Ben Godfrey and Marc Guehi among those also linked with a move to Norht London.
“I was looking at the list of Tottenham, with players from Everton, there was one from Crystal Palace,” he says. “But I see Radu as better than them. Naturally, I can be accused of bias.”
