Arsenal think Mudryk’s valuation is too high

Speaking on The Done Deal Show, Ben Jacobs has shared what he knows about Arsenal and their interest in Mykhaylo Mudryk.
The Ukrainian winger is apparently on the Gunners’ radar, but despite issuing something of a come-and-get-me plea earlier this month, Arsenal are yet to make their move for the attacker.
According to Jacobs, one of the reasons Arsenal haven’t made this move yet is because they believe Shakhtar Donetsk’s valuation of the player is too high, with the Ukrainian side reportedly demanding in excess of €50m (£45m) for the forward.

Jacobs gave a rundown of Murdyk’s situation.
“Arsenal haven’t moved and one of the reasons that Arsenal haven’t moved is because Shakhtar are asking for over €50m and Arsenal’s valuation is much closer to €30m. It may be that in January that they’re able to meet somewhere in the middle, but the challenge from the perspective of a prospective buyer is if Mudryk keeps scoring in the Champions League, the price will only go up,” Jacobs said.
Too much
Mudryk looks like he could be a future superstar, but even his biggest backers would have to say that a £45m pricetag is quite high at the moment.
Let’s not forget, this is a player with just two career league goals to his name, and while he’s been impressive in the Champions League, this recent European run could easily just be a purple patch.
Mudryk has already said that he’d be open to joining Arsenal, so a deal shouldn’t be too difficult for the Gunners to do, but at this pricepoint, we can’t help but feel that there are better options out there.
