The star passed away peacefully at his home in Los Angeles surrounded by family, his niece Noreen Austin said in a statement on Thursday (March 9).
Robert Blake rose to fame as a child actor, starring in MGM’s The Little Rascals, and continued appearing in movies and shows for more than six decades.
However, his career plummeted after the New Jersey native was charged with murdering his second wife in 2001, for which he was acquitted years later.

How many children does Robert Blake have?
The Hollywood star has three children: Noah, 58, Delinah, 57, and Rose, 22.
His eldest, Noah Blake was born in 1965, followed by Delinah the following year. Blake shares them with his first wife, actress Sondra Kerr.
Decades later the star welcomed his third child, daughter Rose Lenore, in 2000 with his second wife Bonny Lee Bakley.
She was originally named Christian Shannon Brando by her mother who said American actor Marlon Brando was her father.
However, a DNA test revealed Blake was in fact the dad and she was renamed Rosie, better known as just Rose for short.
She was just 11 months old when her mother was sadly shot and killed and was raised by her half-sister.
Noah Blake is an actor
Robert’s son Noah followed in his father’s footsteps and is an actor and producer.
The 58-year-old starred in Mystery Men (1999), Red Rooms (2023) and Teen Witch (1989) and has had minor roles in hundreds of other productions.
However, his acting career isn’t as successful as his dad’s, who received two Oscar nominations for his role in the 1967 movie Cold Blood.
He then went on to win an Emmy for playing lead detective Tony Baretta in the drama Baretta from 1975 to 1978.
However, Blake’s net worth was in minus figures when he died as he was found liable for his ex-wife’s death in a civil case and ordered to pay $30 million to her children.
The star was married four times
The Baretta star wed his first wife, actress Sondra Kerr, in 1961 and they were married for more than two decades before divorcing in 1983.
After that, he walked down the aisle with Bonny Lee Bakley in 2000, but they were only married for a year before she was shot outside a restaurant in Studio City, LA in May 2001.
The pair met in 1999 and she had already been married a whopping nine times before, many of which were also celebrities.
He married his third wife Pamela Hudak in 2017 but filed for divorce the following year. Blake was single at the time of his death.
