Countess Vaughn is mourning the death of her father, Leo Vaughn.

The singer, songwriter and actress shared the devastating news on her Instagram profile on Wednesday, February 16th.

Fellow celebrities and fans have posted touching tributes and sent their prayers to her family during this time.

Countess Vaughn mourns father’s passing

Countess Vaughn has lost her father, she confirmed in a heartbreaking Instagram post this week.

She shared a picture of herself and her father along with the caption: “Y’all my daddy gone.”

As per reports, the singer’s father passed away on Tuesday, February 15th. A cause of death hasn’t been confirmed to the public or media at the time of writing.

Countess Vaughn shared two other pictures of her father. One of them she captioned: “RIP, pray for me.” Under another post, she said: “I love you daddy.”

There isn’t a lot of information about the singer’s father but what we know is that he was a schoolteacher.

People pay tributes

Several celebrities and many of the singer’s social media followers have sent her their prayers amid the devastating news.

“I’m so sorry … prayers for you and the family. Remember good times,” said comedian Loni Love on Instagram.

“Sorry my baby. You have my condolences,” wrote producer Carlos King.

“SO SORRY for your loss Countess! Losing a parent has got to be one of the hardest things in life,” wrote another user.

“Sorry for your loss. Praying for you and your family during this trying time,” said another Instagram user.

“Love Prayers and Sincere Condolences to you and you family. I am so sorry for your loss,” added someone else.
