Director Matt Reeves will attempt yet another reboot of the Batman movie franchise in 2022 with a highly original title, “The Batman”. Starring Robert Pattinson in the titular role of Bruce Wayne/Batman and Paul Dano as the Riddler, with Zoë Kravitz playing Catwoman, this story promises to take us back to the early days of the Caped Crusader’s crime-fighting career. What can we expect from this new offering in a long line of Batman adaptations?

What Do We Know About It?
The Batman is set in the formative years of Bruce Wayne’s crime-fighting career when his caped alter-ego is relatively new to the world. He is trying to stop a new serial killer who goes by the name of the Riddler, but at the same time discovers that Gotham City is rife with corruption that is linked to his own family.
Colin Farrell stars as the Penguin who, similar to Batman, is also settling into his villainous career. Jeffrey Wright takes on the role of James Gordon, who is Batman’s friend at the Gotham City Police Department.
A trailer for the movie was brought out in August this year, as part of the virtual DC FanDome event. It reveals a dark, gritty look and lots of intense action involving fistfights, guns, helicopters, and more. Some critics were impressed by the action, while others stated that they would prefer something lighter after the previous gritty films in the franchise.
The Influence of Batman in the Entertainment Industry
The new movie will be the latest in a long line of films featuring Batman. Starting in the 1940s with the serial film titled Batman and leading through to the Dark Knight Trilogy and the DC Extended Universe, this hero has appeared on our screens in many different settings and styles. If 2022’s The Batman is a success, we can probably expect it to lead to a new era of Batman movies.
Undoubtedly, this contemporary version will also influence other aspects of the entertainment market. The official Warner Bros online store has items for sale that include comics, DVDs, clothing, accessories, and more. The Batman logo itself is plastered across all markets. Already, new merchandise has been released to tie in with the new movie, including a Lego set that suggests that the Batcave may be located underground in a former subway station, as noted by cinemablend.com
Let’s not forget that Batman has appeared consistently in video, arcade, and online games over the last few decades having been reinterpreted for the gaming audience as regularly as he is for film fans. For example, back in the mid-1980s, Batman and Batman: The Caped Crusader from Ocean Software was the first games to feature this superhero. GamesRadar.com points out some of the best Batman video games include Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City by Rocksteady Studios.
As the online gaming market has grown exponentially, boosted by technological advancements and widespread internet access, we have also seen this legendary character crop up as a familiar face in the world of online slots games. Prime examples of this are the Batman Begins and the Dark Knight Rises slots by Playtech. While these games are not as popular not, the developer Playtech is a big name, with many of their titles listed at the casino “Comeon!”.
Unlike the video gaming market, which relies on players owning a console and generally having to spend to purchase the game, the online gaming market has further incentivized new players through the gaming sites found on Canadacasinos.live, where players can register to receive welcome bonuses. As a more accessible game, which can be played from any mobile device or PC with internet access, and boosted with competitive bonuses, this title is hugely popular with players. In addition, there are various other Batman-themed titles across the categories.
Who would have thought that today marks a whole decade since the release of Batman: Arkham City. It really doesn’t feel like that long ago. Thanks to all of our fans for being there for Gotham. pic.twitter.com/g8V1UJgy54

When Will It Be Released?
The release of Batman 2022 has already been delayed a couple of times, but it is now expected to be released in early March 2022. If it proves to be a success with global audiences, we can look forward to the Caped Crusader enjoying another period as one of the most high-profile movie characters in many different areas of the entertainment industry.
