Golf Club Wasteland is the post-apocalyptic sporting game we never asked for but definitely want.
If you’d asked us to come up with a sport that you could play after the end of the world, we’d have come up with cockroach racing or something along those lines. But golf? Really? There was a golf club in Fallout New Vegas but we definitely, honestly can’t think of any other post-apocalyptic game in which a golf club plays a significant part.
Developed by Demagog Studio, Golf Club Wasteland is set to remedy that by having your rich protagonist golf their way across the ruins of society, from industrial complexes to burnt out cities. It’s been available on iOS and Android for a couple of years, but it’s now coming to PC and console. The latter version was revealed as part of IGN’s Summer of Gaming, and will feature a story mode, a challenge mode and an iron mode, letting you choose how you want to play.
Even better, the game (which we’re definitely looking forward to playing) will drop this August. None of this Q4 2021, there’s less than two months before you’ll be able to golf your way around a ruined world and there’s a demo dropping this month.
You can wishlist Golf Club Wasteland on Steam, though the final game will arrive on Xbox, PC, Playstation and Switch.
