Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 153 is scheduled to be released at 5 PM BST on Sunday, 1st August 2021 online. For Shonen Jump’s issue 35, this will be a day later on Monday, 2nd August 2021.

Reason for Chapter 153’s delay explained

Many manga series, such as My Hero Academia and One Piece, are currently taking a break for the Tokyo Olympic games 2021. However, this is not the reason for Jujutsu Kaisen‘s delay. Throughout 2021, the series has paused serialisation on more than one occasion due to creator Gege Akutemi’s poor health.

He was encouraged by the editors to use this time to recuperate and had previously said “I decided to accept the kind offer from the editorial department and will take a break that should last about a month.”. He also went on to assure his loyal readers that it was not a serious illness and that he will be returning, which he is on course for, at the start of August. Spoilers can be found here.
