Leeds United left-back Junior Firpo has send a message to Harvey Elliott on Instagram after the Liverpool winger made his long-awaited comeback from injury against Cardiff City at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Liverpool winger Elliott suffered a serious ankle injury against Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds back in September 2021.

The 18-year-old winger suffered a fracture dislocation of his left ankle, and he could make his comeback in a competitive match only today.

Elliott came on as a substitute in the FA Cup fourth-round tie against Championship club Cardiff at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

And he scored.

Liverpool won the match and have progressed to the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Elliott has taken to Instagram to express his delight at finally playing for Liverpool again.

And Leeds left-back Junior Firpo has responded to it, as you can see below.

Leeds defender Struijk did not mean any harm. It was not a malicious challenge at all.

It is really good to see a player from Leeds, Firpo, publicly express his delight at Elliott making a comeback after that horrific injury.
