Manchester United to hold talks with Liverpool target Milan Skriniar’s agents
The French news outlet has claimed that Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United want to sign Skriniar in the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old Slovakia international central defender is out of contract at Inter at the end of the season.
The former Serie A and UEFA Champions League winners are trying to convince the star to commit his long-term future to the club.
MediaFoot have claimed that United have scheduled a meeting with the agents of the defender to see if a deal can be done.
Blow for Liverpool
Manchester United’s reported keenness to sign Skriniar will come as a blow for Premier League rivals Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have also been linked with Skriniar, who has been on the books of Inter since 2017 and is one of the best defenders in the world.
According to a report TEAMtalk in December, Liverpool are ready to make a move for the defender and offer him a contract.
The Reds reportedly want to sign the £91,000-per-week (SalarySport) on a free transfer next summer.
However, it seems that United want to bring Skriniar to Old Trafford in the middle of the season.
If Liverpool want to sign Skriniar, then they have to step up.
