Fox continues to cook up competition amongst pint-sized chefs.
The network has officially renewed MasterChef Junior for a ninth season.
Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Tilly Ramsay joins her father as a judge on the show alongside returning judges Aarón Sánchez and Daphne Oz.
The show has often moved around the Fox schedule and season 8 premiered in March 2022.
MasterChef Junior follows young home cooks between the ages of 8 and 13 who compete in a series of challenges to win the title of America’s next MasterChef Junior, taking home a trophy and $100,000 in prize money.
Gordon Ramsay also hosts. Tilly Ramsay has previously hosted BBC cooking show Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch; she was also a contestant on Celebrity MasterChef Australia.
The show is produced by Endemol Shine North America and Ramsay’s One Potato Two Potato. Ramsay exec produces alongside Elisabeth Murdoch, Danny Schrader, Jennifer Fazey, Gordon Ramsay, Pat Llewellyn, Ben Adler, Sharon Levy and DJ Nurre.
“Blending fun, fast-paced competition with Gordon’s undeniable soft spot for kids, MasterChef Junior returns with a terrific new crop of young chefs ready to thrive under his invaluable mentorship,” said Allison Wallach, President, Unscripted Programming, of Fox Entertainment. “And new this season, Gordon’s talented daughter, Tilly, joins him on the judging panel, alongside the amazing Aarón Sánchez and Daphne Oz. Everyone at Fox and our terrific partners at Endemol Shine North America are delighted to welcome Tilly to the MasterChef Junior family.”
