The former Arsenal star believes that Perisic is a good signing for Tottenham in the summer transfer window.
The Sky Sports pundit thinks that the Croatia international winger will work hard for Antonio Conte’s side next season, and that the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful will love him.
Tottenham have signed Perisic, who can also operate as a right wing-back, on a free transfer this summer following his departure from Inter Milan at the end of last season.
Perisic worked with Spurs head coach Conte at Inter, and they won the Serie A title together in 2020-21.
Paul Merson raves about Tottenham Hotspur’s Ivan Perisic
Merson wrote on SportsKeeda: “I’m a massive fan of Ivan Perisic. He’s a top-draw player, and he works his socks off.
“Antonio Conte knows him well, and the fans will love him because he’s a hard-working player. I think Tottenham have done a great job so far, and I’m afraid they’re in for a good season.”
Good signing for Spurs
In our opinion, Ivan Perisic is a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur and is going to make the North London club better.
Yes, Perisic is 33 now, but he is still a player who plays regularly and has extensive experience, especially in Europe.
Remember, Tottenham will play in the UEFA Champions League next season, and Perisic’s experience will come handy.
Perisic made 35 appearances in Serie A for Inter last season, scoring eight goals and giving seven assists in those matches.
