Nation of Language opening for LCD Soundsystem at Knockdown Center shows ++ afterparties announced

When LCD Soundsystem announced their NYC Tri-Boro Tour, James Murphy hinted that at the final four shows, which happen at Knockdown Center (December 7-10), they might have actual opening acts and afterparties because of the size and layout of the venue. That is in fact the case, and details have been announced.

Nation of Language will open all four Knockdown Center shows, while Shit Robot will DJ all four afterparties, along with a rotating crew depending on the night:

  • 12/7: Eric Duncan, Justin Strauss
  • 12/8: Juan Maclean, Tim Sweeney (Beats in Space)
  • 12/9: DJ Holographic, JDH + Dave P, Kim Ahn
  • 12/10: Heidi Lawden & Lovefingers, Masha Mar, Matt Shaw

Also at the Knockdown Center afterparties will be a Four Horsemen wine pop up in the venue’s back bar. Your ticket to the LCD shows gets you into the afterparties but they’re also selling tickets to the 12/8, 12/9 and 12/10 parties.

LCD Soundsystem wrap up their Terminal 5 run — the Manhattan leg of the Tri-Boro Tour — tonight.

In other news, LCD Soundsystem and Nation of Language have also been announced for the 2024 All Points East Festival in London on August 23 with Jai Paul, Pixies, Floating Points, Jockstrap, Sofia Kourtesis, Eyedress and Vagabon also on the bill, with more artists still to be announced.
