Now live until April 22, those that pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of 11 bit studios’ Frostpunk 2 can dive into a week-long Beta that features the Utopia Builder Preview.
The game’s developers stated the following:
“Making a blizzard in a sequel even bigger than the one in the first Frostpunk wouldn’t feel satisfying, creative, or exciting for the players.”
With that principle in mind, the world of Frostpunk 2 will place a greater emphasis on shaping society when compared to its predecessor.
Taking control of the new Steward, Frostpunk 2 will have players building a council representative of each of its these factions. Note that this ideological conflict is present in the aforementioned Utopia Builder Preview mode, tasking players with reconciling conflicting interests and navigating societal complexities.
