Ubisoft has delayed both Rainbow Six Extraction and Riders Republic | VGC

Ubisoft has delayed both Riders Republic and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction, stating that both titles need more testing before it brings them to market.

The games were showcased during Ubisoft Forward last month and given September release dates. Riders Republic will now release on October 28 and Rainbow Six Extraction in January 2022.

“The goal with the decision to delay both of these games is to give more opportunities for players to test, play firsthand and give feedback to ensure we are bringing the best experiences to market and allow them to reach their full potential,” Ubisoft said in a statement.

“We believe the new release schedules will allow us to achieve that goal. This is the right decision for our players and for the long-term performance of our games.”

Riders Republic is an extreme sports game from Ubisoft Annecy, the studio behind 2016’s Steep. Players can register now on the game’s offficial website for the change to take part in upcoming closed betas.

Rainbow Six Extraction is a squad-based survival FPS developed by a new team within Ubisoft Montreal.

Set several years in the future of the Rainbow Six universe, the co-op title sees players team up to combat a mutated alien parasite.

It was originally titled Rainbow Six Quarantine, but Ubisoft recently confirmed it had been renamed Rainbow Six Extraction.
